But sadly carter was also a member of the evil CFR that was a bad choice.

We need to start drilling again, yes solar and wind is good, but we haven’t drilled in years, baldwin is right, we have more oil in alaska than it is in saudi arabia, we don’t need opec.

30 years ago our President installed Solar Panels on the Whitehouse-a visionary who foresaw the seriousness of the energy crisis…
It’s time to look to the past to gain insight for the future…

Electric with Wind, Wave, Geo-Thermal and Solar.
Just think how far this technology would have progressed by now.
Obviously the Energy Crisis would have been solved by now.

It’s time to be patriotic about ending the energy crisis–President Carter set a good example.

    You just proved my …
You just proved my point again. You are right! US oil production has little to do with the worlds crude price. Therefore, raising our production a bit by drilling, will not lower gas prices.

Bush “speculates” drilling will help because “gas prices are high due to supply & demand.” I say they are high due to speculators manipulating the market. YOU said the price has dropped 30 cents since the speech. BUT supply has not increased!! THEREFORE the price goes down due to changes in speculation.

  5. Auggie56 Says:

    So why would the …
So why would the presidents speech, stop the speculators from speculating ? Are you saying there is some White House conspearcy ?

Ive always heard too that the US has little to do with the price of crude. It’s determined on the world market. Ever hear that ? Probably not going by your prior statements.

    hahaha. Bush Sr. …
hahaha. Bush Sr. is the one that banned drilling. hahaha. Also, 10 years ago Congress was REPUBLICAN and they would’ve been the ones to pass a bill for drilling. Bush only suppported this drilling after he knew it wouldn’t pass through congress. What a fraud.

Seriously, if Kerry had won, and the price of ketchup went up 400%, everyone would blame him. Where is the accountability for Bush?

    You just proved my …
You just proved my point. I said gas prices are high because of market speculation manipulating the prices, NOT based on supply/demand. Since his speech, NO supply has increased, No demand has decreased. Yet, prices went down, why? Due to market speculation. No other product does this. We must tell Republicans to quit blocking the bill that would decrease market influence on gas prices, release gas from our reserves, and illegalize price gouging.

Environmentally friendly? This is the administration that just allowed Exxon to literally walk away from their responsibilities in Alaska and the infamous Valdez. Are you kidding me??? Get real people!!

    Also,

    What it …
    Also,

What it takes to make ethanol:

It takes about 600 pounds, or about 10 bushels of either Wheat, or Corn to fill a 25 gallon tank of gas.

You would get about 3 tanks of gas per acre with Wheat and about 9 tanks of gas per acre with Corn.

What it takes in grain to fill up an SUV one time, could feed a person for up to a year.

How large a carbon foot print is crated to grow and harvest an acre of Wheat or Corn?

Starving people all over the world thank you Obama and Al Gore.

My friend its actually is more polluting than drilling for oil or just about the same. see when you get the goverment subsidized ethanol that comes majorily from corn the fertilizers run off somewhere and you no where that is u guessed it the missippi and then the missisipi dumps those runoff from towns and farms into the Gulf of Mexico and when this happens you get algea blooms which is an extremley bad thing cause when they die they need to decompose

    PART-1
    WHY THE …

    PART-1
WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER PAYS THRU THE NOSE
    (Few Americans know about this!!)

The Americans need “IMMEDIATE” action to lower the gas price at the pump–which would “IMMEDIATELY” help not only them the consumers, but EVERY INDUSTRIES that either made petroleum derivative products, like plastic–or use fuel, like the AIRLINES & TRANSPORT CO. that move every known merchandise across our Nation, like food, appliances, construction material, medical supplies, etc.

  22. librophile Says:

    WHY THE AMERICAN …
WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER PAYS THRU THE NOSE

This added transportation cost due to the HIGH FUEL PRICE … is also passed on to the CONSUMERS. So beside being attacked at pump with a $4.00+ per gallon price tag, the AMERICAN CONSUMER is being hit in the pocketbook, from all sides.

    - The DEMOCRATS in Congress have urgently responded by introducing Bill HR-6346 … the “Price Gouging Prevention Act” … which was sadly OPPOSED & BLOCKED by the REPUBLICANS by a 276/146 vote.

  23. librophile Says:

    PART-3
    WHY THE …

    PART-3
WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER PAYS THRU THE NOSE
    (Stopping illicit Market Manipulation)

    - The Democrats are now introducing Bill HR-6330 … the “Prevent Unfair Manipulation of Prices” or (PUMP ACT) … to close the ENRON loophole and to reign-in the oil commodities speculators and place them under the Federal Control & Supervision of the “Commodity Futures Trading Commission” (CFTC) which will have the “IMMEDIATE” effect to bring the price at the pump down by 50%.

  24. librophile Says:

    PART-4
    WHY THE …

    PART-4
WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER PAYS THRU THE NOSE

    - The Republicans again siding with “BIG FINANCES” & “BIG OILS” oppose Bill HR-6330 and oilman president Bush said he’ll veto it, if it reaches his desk !! (WALL STREET –Big Oils have raked in over 600 billion$ in record profit$ since 2000.)

OIL DRILLING–ALTERNATIVE FUEL–NEW TECHNOLOGY will NOT help the American consumers in the “IMMEDIATE” future.

  25. librophile Says:

    PART-5
    WHY THE …

    PART-5
WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER PAYS THRU THE NOSE
Because both BILLS HR 6346 & 6330 were introduced in Congress by the DEMOCRATS–and NOT the Republicans & because of the upcoming presidential election–the Republicans would rather play politic & ignore the American Consumers. They do not want the Democrats to receive credit for the help they are trying to “IMMEDIATELY” provide to the American Consumers, SO THEY CAN FALSELY CLAIM LATER, the Democratic Congress to be a “DO NOTHING CONGRESS.”
