Texas leads the nation in industrial pollution and has more oil refineries, chemical manufacturing plants and coal-fired power plants than any other state.
The massive oil and chemical plants employ nearly 270,000 people and pay billions of dollars in state and local taxes. Texas provides about 20 percent of the nation’s oil production, one-third of the natural gas, 25 percent of refining and 60 percent of chemical manufacturing.

Guv Goodhair has always been the sweetheart of "big bidness" in Texas. No reason to change now that he’s in the fight of his political life and will try to out-right- wing Kay B. Hutchison for his reelection bid. This will take big campaign bucks from "big bidness", which as you correctly specified, is heavily entrenched in the oil and gas (pollution) industries.

There is no such thing as smog.
Breathing the fumes produced by millions of cars is good for you.
The exhaust from cars and burning fossil fuels is not mam-made and does not accumulate in the environment.
These non-existant, non-pollutants do not affect the composition of the atmosphere.
The change that is not happening in the atmosphere does not affect the climate.
NASA and any other groups of independent scientists who say otherwise are blatantly lying.
They are lying because to protect their own special interests and to make money.
Right?

Texas also leads the country in Wind Energy, has the most efficient power grid and is building the first clean nuclear plant in the country.
Lead by example I say.

Because the climate bill will cost millions of $ in hidden taxes and result in the loss of many jobs, not to reduce pollution but in the hope that it might result in a slight reduction in global temperatures 50 years from now. Seems like good public policy to oppose it.

Our nation is bankrupt. Obama has spent us into a near collapse of the dollar. There are no jobs.
The UN backed climate change bill does nothing to change climate. Its a TAX on ENERGY usage.
Once the UN controls it, they control the world. Then they implement "population control" and murder you.
Why would you want this?
