Please note that ANWR and off shore reserves are not part of these U.S. reserve totals.

What the hell question did you read?
Is this one of your blond moments?
I don’t care about off shore and if you went to the links you would be better informed.
I don’t care about your emotional ties to the environment.
I asked a simple question.

Do you know that the oil companies already have an additional 68 million acres of off shore space they don’t drill.
Besides there being a 16 year wait on off shore oil rigs, and oil prices would go down pennies per barrel.
The oil companies don’t want to put the cost into offshore oil drilling when direct drilling is a third of the price. They want to get back to drilling in Iraq and have recently negotiated going back in.
Oil companies don’t give a rats as* about saving us a few pennies, they want to drill cheap and make the bucks.
