Do you know how much oil is actually used for gasoline and diesel production as compared to our daily crude..?

…oil cunsumption? Total is a very low percentage that will surprise you.
BDZot is closest.go to api.org for the breakdown.
roughly 50% is for gasoline production and roughly 20% is for home heating oil and diesel.balance is for jet fuel and other distillates.

About half the crude is gasoline. Another 40% is diesel, kerosine, jet fuel, etc.

I do know the Taxas oil is better suited for making Plastic. And the Arabic light crude is easier to refine into motor fuels.

OPIS magazine editor confirmed that production runs at refineries vary from time to time but offered the opinion that roughly 67% of a yield of a barrel (42 gal.) of crude oil is gasoline.
He estimated that it takes about 1.5 gallons of crude to make 1 gallon of gasoline.

Light sweet crude is mostly from Texas and Arabia. It is by far the best for yeilding gasoline.
